No way on the Arrowana. They require a much larger tank.

How about a Malawi tank? ;)
 
I don't know why... But I'm not much of an African cichlid guy.
I was thinking of getting a bunch of EBJD's and if I end up with a pair or two I could make a good bit of extra cash... (gotta spend a good bit on the fish first).

You might want to research that one a bit also, it's not that simple, hence the large price tag.

I'm not much of a cichlid man full stop I rather the planted look which don't go well with cichlids

I think I've decided. Here's what I've come up with (I'm not to sure about numbers) :

Discus- how many? 6?
Rummynose tetras- 8?
BN plecos- 3?

Be careful of the plecos for 2 reasons 1 they can get massive I had one that was 19 inches long and 2 they ain't very good for planted tanks
