Adding decor

Our tank is a little boring/empty. We want to add an ornament how do we go about this? Is it as simple as just putting it in or do we have to treat it?

If you get it from your pet shop just rinse it out. If its some thimg you had rinse it in a bleach solution.

Bleach is generally last resort depending on what it is. Shells/driftwood/rocks: boil.
Pet store deor: Rinse
Everything else: I usually dunk in white vinegar, then rinse thoroughly.

Make sure you buy a fish safe decoration from the pet shop obviously and take some of the water from the tank. Let it soak in the water for atleast an hour if you see some things flaking off of the ornament or the water going cloudy/changing colour don't add it. If you don't see these things just add it to the tank. Simples
