I am going to get leopard danios and one angelfish for my tank once it is done cycling. Last time I set up my tank I did it all wrong and the fish ended up getting ich. I heard aquarium salt is a good thing to add to your tank and I was wondering how I would go about doing that. My tank is a 29 gallon high.

Don't. Salt is only needed if treating (in combo with heat) for diagnosed Ich. It is not a preventive anything and can stress fish.

You would use aquarium salt to treat ich, not prevent it. Prolonged exposure to salt causes tissue and organ damage for the fish. The only real way to prevent ich in your display tank is to quarantine your fish in a QT tank for 2 weeks before adding them to your DT.
