I would highly suggest a bigger tank from the looks as well, a waaaaaaaay bigger tank if you love that guy/gal.

It doesn't look that big but your gar needs a longer tank it will need a pond eventually it really should be in an 8 foot tank now.

He is not in a tiny tank... It's a close up picture.... He's in a six foot by e foot tank he loves it and is having a custom tank built for him...... If he gets to big he will be donated to a gar reservation.....

Yah exactly I agree they get 10 feet long this fish should not be in the aquarium trade same with clown knifes, red tailed catfish and iridescent sharks they all just get to big.
