Ammonia added

I did 3 drops of ammonia and tested no reading added 4 more drops and it is reading 4.0 on my test kit. I will recheck tomorrow evening and hope it goes down like I have been reading.

Are you starting from scratch or it this with an established filter? If it is the former then it may take some time before the ammonia starts to drop.

Is this the same tank as in this thread New tank setup ?
In this thread I asked about the filter being new or established and you replied that this is a stripped tank. In the other thread you mentioned obtaining a used filter. Which is it?
I think you had some good info on the other thread and should have continued your questions there IMO.
