Has anyone had any experience with the "preseeded" sponge filters sold by angelplus? I've read fantastic reviews and wanted to know if anyone tried them recently?

YES.

We bought two, one for each tank, after treating for columnaris. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I bought a couple to speed up he cycling on a new 60 gallon tank. How long did it take for you with the active sponge?

I left it in the tank for two weeks.

Within a day or two water was testing as if it were cycled, but I wanted to make sure beneficial bacteria was living in the tank and my filter.

Some people just cut the sponges up and use them as the mechanical filtration in their filters.

I’m doing research and came across this post. Did You just sit it in the tank?
