Can i add aquarium salt in my tank ?
I mean if i do will i stress my fish or do something bad ?
Any answers would be appreciated

Hello phil...

A little standard aquarium salt will benefit most freshwater aquarium fish. I've used a teaspoon or two in every 5 gallons of treated replacement water for quite a few years and believe it helps keep my fish a bit healthier. The choice is yours.

Everything I have read says it's useless. That it is an old wives tale you have to add it.

I have read about it being used in high amounts for some medical needs with value.

But not all the time.

Don't add aquarium salt unless you have a reason to. It is not useful as a preventative.

There are situations where a salt treatment is appropriate but that should be in response to a specific problem.
