Aquarium stand

Hey, I'm setting up a 10 gallon tank in a corner of my bedroom, however I need a stand. The floor is carpet and I was wondering what stand would work. I saw one at Walmart for $30. Are those any good? My budget is about $30 also. Thanks.

I've used a 3 drawer dresser/nightstand. I've used a sturdy cart.

Your tank will weigh about 100lbs.

I don't know which stand from Walmart you mean, but if it's rated for your size tank it should be ok.

With carpet, I would fill tank slowly outside or somewhere safe for a leak test before setting it up over carpet. Refill in final location.

Agree. 10g will be around 100lbs. anything you feel comfortable sitting on will be strong enough.

Worth searching craigslist for old furniture that you can clean up. should be able to find stuff for under 30.
