Ill be slowly adding plants over the next few weeks to the tank so Ive been trying to decide how I want my slate and driftwood to be placed. Ive decided that the driftwood is going to be in the center, and I know I want at least one rock cave on either side of it. I just cant decide where I want them.

Would you guys give me your opinions? Just let me know 1, 2, 3, or 4 and any other thoughts you have. The first one is my personal favorite, with three being my least favorite. Just ignore my little wisteria buds that Im trying to grow out. ^,^

I like 3 the best. Just be careful the slate doesn't slip and crush any fish. I did something similar and mine fell for whatever reason. I freaked and thankfully no fish were injured. I have since arranged my slate with less of an angle and put a rock under there .

I like 1 the most, it looks very natural and would give the fish more hiding places anyway. The others look tacky with the "rock teepees" IMO. The plants will add a lot too.

I think #1. I would, however, put the driftwood down on the substrate. It looks to me that it could fall over easily. What about if you put the left side in the pics, down? Would look like a cool stump, IMO.

Meegosh- the only reason its sitting like that at the moment is because its still soaking up enough water to sink. I have it tethered to a brick right now. Itll be another week or two before it sinks completely, and then it'll be facing the same way it is now, except with the bottom burried with vals and rotala growing up around it, and maybe some moss creeping up on one side.

Thanks for the input guys... I really agree that the first one looks the best. I figured the Rams would probably appreciate the rock caves.

I finally decided on a layout, and started adding the rest of my plants that I'd been growing out in my 55 gallon. Wisteria, anubias, and java fern.

Still looking to get rotala, dwarf sag, java moss, and maybe some vals.
