Betta question

i am thinking about doing a betta tank for my stepson. He used to have one with a ghost shrimp and he has mentioned that he would like to do that again. I really don't know much about the shrimp. What size tank would they need to be happy? I want to get it started fast so I can have it ready for his birthday in a month. I am hoping for a fast cycle I have some extra media in my filter hopefully getting nice and loaded with bb.

I probably wouldn't do anything smaller than a 2.5 gallon tank for the betta. Other than that neither the ghost shrimp or the betta need anything special to care for them.

That sound great I am going to go for a 5. Some type of acrylic so I can hide the tank until it's ready for his birthday!
