betta tank too big?

The claim that says bettas live in "puddles" and such is inaccurate. Yes, they are found in very shallow waters, but usually by chance, like during dry spells for example. They are notorious jumpers, because they have adapted to escape these situations. I would think that a tank could only be too big if it had nothing in it, like. 75 gallon, just an empty water column, especially toward the surface.

People say that wild bettas live in tiny little dirty pockets of water and that they like it that way. But the truth is that feral bettas live in rice paddies that, while they may be shallow, stretch for miles and miles and miles. So no, 15 gallons is not too big.
