A Big Thank You

A big thanks to the experienced members here.

Due to situations (broken tank, water on floor, fish flopping.. etc.. etc..) I started a 10g kit with live fish. Ammonia spiked up here on day 3, as I was watching closely for with a test kit handy. Partial water changes (PWC), the fish are still alive and happy. Waiting patiently for Nitrites and Nitrates although these are not expected for some time.

Thanks for the resource, for all the posts. Reading has been an education. My tank is clear, the fish seem happy. Perhaps one Zebra Danio of two may be pregnant. The aquarium is an attraction for the whole family. There is a picture in my gallery, I am learning how to do that too.

Now if you could teach me how to be patient. I have a 45g sitting and waiting for an "aquarist, with MTS" to be born.

Just wanted to let those out there know its appreciated. Thanks.

what did you do with the filter from the broken tank? You could have just put that filter on the 10g or moved some of the media over to avoid the cycle problems.

that all depends on what you mean by "help"
IMO, this is a great place for support for MTS. The people here encourage and help it grow exponentially!

CatatonicBug, more reading and less action would have identified the value of the old gravel, filter, etc. The broken glass was left in with the gravel and filter all in a large tub. Knowledge now gained would have put the gravel back into the new tank as a starting point. Unfortunately, didn't happen.
