NO!!!! This is the brace that indicates weather your tank will bow out or not. It braces the middle of the tank so that the tank sides will not push it out. I would not advice removing this bracing.

Okay thanks! I've seen a vid of someone doing it and thought it was Okay since it blocks light and i don't want it.

Yah I hate it and they don't really look nice at all. But they are extremely necessary! Hope this helps!
