I've bred Angels, cichlids, tetras, rainbows, and others but am stumped by discus. I've had a couple of pairs lay eggs but then eat them after a few days. I understand it is difficult to raise discus fry without the parents, but can it be done?
Any advice from experienced discus breeders would be appreciated.

I believe that discus fry must eat the secretions from their parent's skin the first few days in order to survive. Thus, you would need the parents with the fry.
