Cleaning empty aquarium glass

I have a used aquarium that was used as a saltwater tank with corals. I am going to have a freshwater tank. I noticed little white circles of what I assume is salt on the glass. I understand I should not use soap to clean this.
What are some of the easiest ways to get this clean?

White vinegar, and warm water should work pretty well.
