Hi, I just switched my substrate from gravel to sand for my panda cories and the water is very cloudy. The fish are already in the tank so im not sure if i should turn off the pump or not. Is there a solution to this or should I just wait, and If so, with the filter on or off? Thanks:fish2:

No matter how well you rinse it some sand can make water cloudy until it settles. Turn your filter on and let it run for a while.

Hello jr...

In a few days, the particles in the sand will settle and the water will clear. This takes time. Acurel and HBH have filter media that will help too.

I have had the exact same problem I went and got extra fine filter floss and within 2 days of changing it out regularly the tank is not crystal clear. :)

If you want to speed up the process seachem clarity and filter floss combined work wonders.
