Cloudy water

Hi, I just switched my substrate from gravel to sand for my panda cories and the water is very cloudy. The fish are already in the tank so im not sure if i should turn off the pump or not. Is there a solution to this or should I just wait, and If so, with the filter on or off? Thanks

No matter how well you rinse it some sand can make water cloudy until it settles. Turn your filter on and let it run for a while.

Hello jr...

In a few days, the particles in the sand will settle and the water will clear. This takes time. Acurel and HBH have filter media that will help too.

I have had the exact same problem I went and got extra fine filter floss and within 2 days of changing it out regularly the tank is not crystal clear.

If you want to speed up the process seachem clarity and filter floss combined work wonders.
