I have 17 small fish in a 55gal how many do you think I could stock still?

Greetings!

What fish do you currently have? Is your tank planted? What sort of filtration do you have?

It's a semi planted tank because I'm just starting out and I have:

1 female kribensis
3 black stripped swordtails
2 green sword tails
3 emerald Cory's
2 purple passion danios
2 rainbow fish
3 cherry shrimp

And just the stock 55 gallon Aqueon filter

Yeah, you could add more danios and a few more corys and a few more rainbowfish.
Do you know the amount of males and females for the swordtails?

Ok, thats pretty good. The m/f ratio for livebearers is 3f/1m. You might want to add another female. I would add:
3 more cories
4 more danios
4 more rainbowfish
and maybe another female swordtail. Just don't add any more males, and if you see the males harassing the females, then you need more females.

One female sword tail died this morning :( so need to add that to the list. And I have 15 cherry shrimp on the way

Yeah, then you should definitely add more female swordtails. Did you say that one of the females was pregnant in another thread?

Snails would be cool

I have baby ramshorn snails that are the size if a grain of sand right now! They grow extremely fast! When they get bigger they will be a mixture if blues browns and reds.
