I am currently running a 90g reef ready tank, with a 30g sump. I find I'm having less and less time for upkeep.
I tried to search, but didn't really see anything regarding using a drilled tank for freshwater. Any reason not to? I;m used to tons of flow/water movement, this probably isn't ideal for most freshwater species. Any advice?

I run my 180 with dual mega overflows freshwater since day one [about 8+ years ] .The fish love it and I actually run a strong return pump [jeboa 15,000 ] and a jeboa crossflow gyre making my tank like a river system...
No problems at all with overflows in FW unless you get small fish that keep swimming into them !
