Hey guys,

Might be a stupid question, but here goes.

If I put a layer of laterite under my sand will my corys or loaches dig it up? I am planning on getting a group of either species, but before I set it up and add laterite just want to make sure it will stay UNDER the top layer of sand.

Sorry, kuhli loaches. Might just stick with the corys then if they wont.

Just another laterite question - does it effect the water quality, specifically water hardness (GH and KH!)? I cant find a clear answer on this. I have somewhat soft water from the tap and I dont want to increase the GH level!

Kuhlis are habitual diggers, I wouldn't necessarily try then with layered substrates.

If it's capped then any affect to water parameters should be minimal. I wouldn't worry about it.
