I have wanted to tally up things for a while...but I haven't dared to until now.

90 AGA bought all from LSF by saying "I want a 90 Gallon Freshwater Tank with everything I need". Since joining AA...I realize that I could have done better...but I feel I made a friend at the [acronym:cfc2aff3c2="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym:cfc2aff3c2], although I do not have the same philosphy as he does and is of little help as far as a "conscientious aquarist" goes.

The cost for the set up was $1000 even. Here is a breakdown and estimated prices:

AGA 90 Gallon Aquarium - $250
AGA True Oak Stand - $300
Perfecto 2 Bulb [acronym:cfc2aff3c2="Normal Output Fluorescents"]NO[/acronym:cfc2aff3c2] Fluorescent Light - $100
Penn Plax 1500 Canister Filter - $175
Perfecto Glass Canopy - $50
Tetra Deep Water Air Pump - $25
2 Air Wands w/ tubing and Check Valves - $15
Background - $10
75lbs of Gravel - $45
Marineland 250W Heater - $25
Thermometer - $5

Total: $1000 Initial Setup

Fish:
$130 so far to Aquariumfish.net online purchases
$15 to [acronym:cfc2aff3c2="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym:cfc2aff3c2]

After initial setup costs:

Upgraded light to 4x65w Coralife Aqualight w/ legs - $220
Different Background - $10
2 x 55oz Boxes of Laterite - $30
Master Test Kits & other test kits - $85
Rena 300 Air pump (hoping it was quiet...it was not) - $40
Variety of air wands & connectors - $20
Aquarium Products System 1 Diatom filter (for bad Algae Bloom) - $130
Decorative Plants - $75
Live Plant Bulbs - $12
Large Driftwood - $25
Large Tree Trunk cave decoration - $50
Slate Rock for Decoration - $15
Polished River Rocks for decoration - $10 (from craft store)
Iodine for Ghost Shrimp - $10
Sera GVG Food - $5
Algae Wafers - $5
Bloodworms/Brine Shrimp - $10

Total now up to: $1,897

Things I STILL need to buy to finish aquarium:

Pressurized [acronym:cfc2aff3c2="Carbon dioxide"]CO2[/acronym:cfc2aff3c2] tank system w/ [acronym:cfc2aff3c2="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]PH[/acronym:cfc2aff3c2] control - $350 Estimated
Large Live Plant Assortment - $100

When completed....The entire tank will have cost me: $2,347

Now I know where all my money has gone over the last few months
