Looking to camouflage the equipment a bit, especially the internal filter and the heater.

Tips, tricks, specific ideas???

You could use real or fake plants, thats what I did with mine, I have 2 HOB filters and a heater behind them.

What kind of plants are those?

Natural Plants (they can grow out & up), Rocks (ex. slate structure) and large DW offer excellent natural ways to hide equipment. Ornaments, Decor and fake plants are other alternatives.

Thanks all. Yes, of course plants that is my go-to solution. I was more looking for some really creative, out-of-the-box-thinking ideas that might be out there.

I am interested in hearing more about rock solutions. Like for instance I had the idea to silicone a bunch of rocks together as a sort of encasing structure for the filter, leaving bigger holes where the water intake part is. Not glued to the filter, but more like a base for it, with the rocks continuing up the sides of the filter to hide it. And then have the outflow come over the rocks, sort of like a waterfall. And then I thought, that might just look like a bunch of rocks glued together around a filter! :) So I am looking for some clever ideas and examples from those with a little more experience than me...

BTW, what does 'DW' mean?

for the filter i would sudgets some kind of plants... becauce drift wood would block the circulation a little bit but for the heater a larger piece of drift wood with a scoop like shape so one side is round out and the other side curves in to go around it would work great...DW stands for drift wood btw also a pile of rocks you like would work just as well

I glued a heap of rocks together to hide my heater and fitter intake but I decided against using it. I will see if I can find the pics.
