Cycling 15g tank

I just set up a new 15g tank. I only want to use it for a single male siamese fighting fish. Will the tank still need to be cycled or will a simple water change every week do the work?

So dont need to cycle tank? I filled tank up today and used prime. So tomorrow I can just put the fish in? Definitely doesnt need to be cycled?

Well I didn't cycle mine before putting fish in. But if you really want to you can. Some people say it's better to wait but it can work if you don't wait.
