Hello everyone,

So I've been cycling my 180L for a couple of weeks now and it is at the stage where it can bring 4ppm of Ammonia to 0ppm over night. However, the Nitrites are sky high around 5ppm.. I've been told that these can take a while longer to produce bacteria for but I'm in need some some advice.

Is there anything I can do to speed this process? Should I be doing water changes?

I have already added some filter media from an established tank, so I'm unsure why it is taking as long as it is. I have also been adding Fluval Cycle (bacterial booster)

Thanks in advance!:)

Speaking from experience (and a ton of advice from people here) you just have to wait. See my thread called "Stalled Cycle".
