Cycling a filter with an already cycled tank

I have a 55 gallon tank being ready to set up and I was gonna put my filter into the 20 gallon that is already cycled. Will that create a mini cycle with tank if I still have my 20 gallon filter into it? They are both bio-wheels. I just want a quicker way to cycle this filter before I set it up because water changes on a 20 gallon tank are much quicker than a 55 gallon.

Yup, just put the 55's filter on the 20 gallon. That will build up the BB in the 55 filter, and wont cause a mini cycle on the 20 as long as you keep the 20's filter on
