A cast net works great for dollars, just make sure you through back any bluegill or other game fish you catch. Dollars have metallic blue lines running across the gills and orange-red dots above the anal fin. This is how you tell them apart from other small sunfish.

Take 520 just past I-95 and make a left. This will take you to Pluckebaum Rd. Make a right and follow the canal down to where the blacktop ends. This is where you find some really nice ones.

If you look along the shore of the canal you'll see large nests dug. These are pleco nests and you should see the males guarding them. You can't miss them. The plecos I saw were between 16 and 18 inches long!
