Turn off aquarium lights and keep room dim. Drip acclimate betta with looped air hose putting a few drops per second into betta cup. Remove older water with turkey baster. Continue for an hour. is this ok for a newb???

I think every tank should come with a turkey baster. I have one, and I use it all the time. It is so handy for so many things.

Sorry this is a little off topic.

I think dimming the lights and all is a bit much, I've never turned off the lights to acclimate any of my fish. Otherwise, sounds good.

I heard dim lights keep down stress. I left the tank light off for about 4hrs. I turned it on and he's flaring at his reflection and everything in the tank!!! Lol lol
