Well I'm starting a cichlid tank in a couple of months but for now I wanted to start a fiddler crab tank. I know they need land as well as water. So anybody have ideas of a tank size/setup?
Thanks for any help/advice!

long tanks are best for them, give em a pool as well as land.

cool set ups I am doing one for my son's room and his classroom in two weeks.

tetra intank filer or duettos work good for these tanks, they love clean water.

Ok.
Heres more questions though (sorry haha)
What size tank?
How much should it be filled up?
Gravel or sand?
Plants or no plants?

tank, 15gallon or a 20g long.

a few inches or deeper, depends on how much land you have and how you stop instant erosion of the land section

sand and gravel, maybe gravel shore and sand land?

live plants are always good.

a 20 long would be a good tank to start with. you really only need a few inches of water, but you could fill it up half way or more. sand would be best imo, mine liked to dig around in the sand, and they naturally live in sandy conditions... mine ate plants (or tore them up one), so i would say no to that
