filter ! help whats good ? now days

marineland magnum 350 is that good or bad ? i have a 100 gal tank that im setting up need some help on s filter im done with the one that hang on the edge.so any info will help.i saw the 350 for cheap online so i was woundering if that is a solo filter or a combo filter ? combo meaning the 350 and a other cansiter

I don't know anything about that particular filter, but I know canister filters are preferred for larger tanks and the fluval seems to be the canister filter of choice. As for hang on back filters, aquaclear seems to take the cake because it is so quiet, ease of use, and you can put pretty much whatever kind of filter media you want in the basket. When I set up my 55 gallon I fully intend on using a fluval canister filter.
