Hi everyone, I'm having trouble with my fishless cycle. I've had my 55 ga tank running for almost two weeks. I set the tank up with conditioned water(prime),dosed the ammonia up to 4ppm using ace hardware janitor strength ammonia, and put some crushed fish food in the tank. In the two weeks it has been running I haven't seen the ammonia drop at all. I've also checked for nitrates and I'm at 0. Also I'm using the api test kit. Is this normal for the ammonia to stay that high for so long without dropping at all?
