Hi all :)

Started fishless cycling a 15g three weeks ago...thanks for all your advice then!

At the end of the second week the ammonia started dropping every day to .25ppm, with me adding 3ml to bring it back up to 4ppm.

NO2 (nitrItes)
22nd...2ppm
23rd...1ppm
25th...1ppm
26th...1ppm
28th...2ppm
29th... 1-2ppm
30th...1ppm

NO3 has stayed at 5ppm since the 5th day

Does this look as if it is going well?

Any predictions when we will be cycled? :)

Not that I am getting excited or anything lol

:biglol:

Are there plants in the tank that might be sucking up the nitrates?

You're almost there. If you don't start seeing more nitrates in a week or so, try doing a PWC, then redosing with ammonia. It won't hurt, as long as you use dechlorinator, and it sometimes seems to fix a stalled cycle.

No plants Jim...going for a mountain stream style tank, with gravel and rocks.

I am dosing every day with ammonia, as the levels keep dropping :)

I'm hoping that the nitrite munchers will soon kick-in :)
