Flint Water

So I am moving to Flint MI and I know the water there has lead in it. Will using store bought water conditioners to make tap water safe for fish work in making the Flint water safe for my fish? Or do I need to buy big water jugs for any water changes?

P.s. I keep goldfish in a big storage container so I'd have to buy a lot of water jugs

Contact some local fish stores in Flint and learn how they deal with the current water situation there. Might consider a water purification filter attached to kitchen faucet. Good luck.
