Well I been having just this one for 2.5 months that I intentionally saved before giving my new plants a dip.....no others in sight (they would be big enough to see by now especially in a 5g qt with no subtrate)....so before taking it out of qt, I want to know if I can keep it w/o worry about it being an asexual snail so I can put it in another tank...thats all I am asking..nothing more and less
 
From what I have read u need two snails. It just doesn't matter what sex they are. As far as breeding w other types of snails I am pretty sute it's a no. I have a couple different varieties that have hitchiked different colors of the same type will breed but I don't have any "hybrid" snails yet
