Anybody ever use this. I dosed our new 40 gallon with this when I set it up. I didn't test the water for a few days. Finally tested when I bought 5 adult red serpae tetras to get the cycle started. Several days went by, no ammonia and no nitrite. I put in several plants and the nitrates disappeared as well. Numbers continued to run at zero across the board so I moved 5 mollies over. About 5 days later and still zero across the board. It appears this stuff effectively colonized my tank and media without a true "cycle." Should I be concerned that this will spike ammonia or nitrite?

What test kit are you using?

I've heard of it but haven't used it. Most products like that are hit and miss; most times they don't work, but they can on occasion. You might be one of the lucky ones. I'd keep testing though to be sure, it's still too early to say. The plants could be helping too.
