IF you don't add anything to the tank for a week then the good bacteria will die.. If you add the bettas then just watch your parameters till you get plants and then watch a bit longer

Okay...I think I might try my hand at the silent cycling with planting heavily, but I will need a better light than what I have now. I am looking into one now...thanks, Joy!
