I have some brochis splendens but I much prefer my new pygmys (don't tell them I said that), my pygmys mainly stay in their 6 and swim around the middle a lot, much funner to watch imo, smaller too so you could get more of them as apposed to if you were to get emeralds. Also they might be picked on by much larger fish. But they are not green or purple, here's some pictures of my little guys if you are interested.

Aw, They are so cute! How much did you pay for the 6 if you don't mind me asking?

Jeta, Are Brochis Splendens emerald cories? They look kind of like the Emeralds at my LFS, just a prettier green.

I believe they are. I paid £30 all in inc postage.

Update:

So I got the stand and the filter and set both off them up. I brought the tank up into my room and put it on the stand and I decided to wipe it out before I filled it. As I was doing this a 2-3inch piece of sealing came off. The bottom is pretty crappy too. I am going to reseal the part that came off and if its easy I will redo the bottom.
