I have another question about cycling. Remember i was forced into cycling w/ fish i wouldnt of if i new better at the time. my reeading are as follows nitrite- .25, nitrate-0, ammonia-0 ph holding at 7.4 i have a 55 gallon with 1 rainbow shark 1 pictus, 4 barbs 2 opalines. the nitrite isnt moving and i have not done a water change in 4 days. am i on the right track, should i just be more patient oh yeah i feed them once a day sparingly. i also tested with Ai master test kit not dip stick test as refered to me by alaris.

A complete cycle can take 6 weeks or more depending on various factors.

Ammonia at 0 means you've made progress and you're in the 2nd 1/2 of the cycle. Keep checking every day and pretty soon the nitrites will drop to 0.
