help - how to test ammonia and nitrates

could someone tell me how to test ammonia and nitrates using the liquid drop stuff? i ant find my directions anywhere.

Well for nitrates you need 10 drops of both bottles if you have API test kit. For ammonia 8 drops .

Ammonia- 8 drops bottle 1, shake, 8 drops bottle 2, shake, wait 5mins & read
Nitrite- 5 drops, shake, wait 5mins & read
Nitrate- shake & bang bottles WELL, 10 drops bottle 1, shake, 10 drops bottle 2, shake, wait 5mins & read

Assuming this is the API kit, for nitrates you want to shake and bang both bottles but for bottle #2 it needs to be shaken for 30 seconds and then once both types of drops are added to the tube the tube needs to be shaken for 60 seconds. Not following this exactly can lead to incorrect results.
