Set up my 24 gallon tank Saturday and used biomature to get the ammonia up to 5ppm. Going on holiday to Egypt for 2 weeks so was just going to leave it alone. Low and behold ammonia has dropped to 2ppm and trites starting to show. What's best to keep the bb happy while I'm away? Prawns in pantyhose?

Yes, a couple of prawns in pantyhose will work. Or you can just dose it up to 5ppm right before you leave and resume cycling when you return. No harm in either method. Your good bacteria can survive much longer than most people realize without an ammonia source.
