HOw many zebra danios to help start a cycle in a 55 gal

I just got my sand bottom 55 gallon tank up and running, I threw in the filter from my 10 gallon tank thats all gross and disgusting, how many zebra danios should I run to help encourage a cycle to take place, I have 6 in there right now I amhopeing thats enough. THanks Aaron

6 is enough, but you'll have to stock it slowly so the bio-filter can keep up. 10 would be ideal

I used six in my 55G tank to help cycle it but mine is a planted tank. I would try to add 4-6 more in the next two weeks.

I would recommend a fishless cycle, your danios would apprieciate it

Well... I am being nice to them actually, I have old media from my frog tank sitting in there along with some slimy plastic plants from that tank. THe frog tank has been established for 3 years.... I just didn't know if 6 fish was enough to for the media I put in there considering my frogs are the messiest eaters on the planet. I have 3 full grown African clawed frogs, 5-6 inches each, they are mean buggers, they bite me when I try to clean their tank
