how much sand?

Does anyone know how big of a bag of pool filter sand to buy for a standard 55g tank?

You can get away with 1 bag, I put a bit over a bag and 1/4 in mine and the sand is 4" deep in some spots.

I just used 1 50lb bag in my 55G. It's perfect.

I used 50lbs in my 70... looks great. you wanna avoid a deep sand bed... not beneficial for fresh water
