How to get rid of high nitrates?

Hello. One of my fish tanks has some high nitrates (picture below) and was wondering how to bring it down. This is just a tank for my guppy fry, and currently only have 5 or 6 in there. The tank is a 5.5 gallon. thanks!

Yikes, that's nitrIte, not nitrAte. I'd suggest a water change asap, as fry may not tolerate nitrite for long.
