Has anyone on here heard of these guys or have kept them? I was looking into them, but there isn't much on the web about them.

Heard of them but never kept them myself, I have a group of P. typus. Similar care, Tanganykian catfish, rarely available as captive bred, so they do require hard/alkaline water. They will eat cichlid fry or anything else that will fit into their mouth.
If you want P. typus I have 5 adults I grew out from fry. Been thinking to move them along so I can use that 75 for my super red BN and convert a 40 breeder to a dart frog vivarium.

Around 4", they're already as big as they'll ever be now. Not aggressive at all, hardly even competitive at feeding time. They're bi-parental mouthbrooders, both parents swap the eggs/fry back and forth.
