I'm thinking of getting one for my betta tank cuz i think they look pretty cute

I just wanna know if there's anything I have to do to them before I add them in.

I've read that I should squeeze them and rinse them but do I rinse them with tap water or with tank water?

I didn't rinse mine, I'd just rinse and soak it in tank water until it stays sinking. I wouldn't squeeze it, you could "break" it

Only thing you need to know is to rotate it from time to time to keep it from dying off on one side!
