Master test kit information

I was at a pet store yesterday to pick up the master test kit (API) and I was told that they had to send all of theirs back because they had been recalled due to the amonia reading not registering right. I just thought this was interesting and thought I needed to get the word out. I have not went to the manufacturer sight to see all the details but am going to do that right now to see if I can find out any information like if it was a regional recall or what. The store I went to was in Muncie Indiana. If any one else finds out anything please let me know.

Oi... I just purchased one of those a week ago. I'm too green to realize the skewed readings probably too.

I sent an email to the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals website asking about the recall. I have not heard back.

I wasnt able to find any info about a recall on their website.

I was just at Petco the other day and they had a couple on the shelf.

i bought my API freshwater test kit a month ago...

No recall, but they were slow to get new kits out. Bought one the other day after waiting a week. Got tired of walking it up and down stairs from my kids room to our 56 gallon.
