I'm cycling a ten gallon tank right now. I have an established 55 Gallon cichlid tank. I want to add media from my 55 to my ten. Ok the problem is this, I know my bacteria are sensitive to changes right? My 55 has a Ph of 7.6 and for some reason my ten has a Ph of 6.6. The ten is also around 75 degrees, as I have yet to put a heater in. And my 55 stays at 83. When I transfer my media, am I going to kill my bacteria with these dramatic changes?

I don't think so. I would go ahead and transfer. I would definitely put a heater in the 10, though.

Until you have everything in place, I wouldn't bother using the filter media. Just leave things as they are until you're really good to go.
