I recently moved my community tank from its 55 to a 72 when the previous fish outgrew the tank
I did 50 percent water change. Cleaned gravel well and replaced carbon in filter

I am now nothing that I have 0 ammonia .25 nitrite 0 nitrate
I did a water change brought everything to 0
The next day nitrite is now at .25 again with everything else at 0
Is the tank mini cycling since the tank has been set up for 5 years before moving these fish in

Yes, I believe it is mini cycling since you "cleaned your gravel real good" and changed the carbon. Should clear up fairly quickly though.

Everything at zero is typically not good though... you should be showing some nitrate if your tank has cycled...

Since the tank has be set up and running with fish for 5 years before I moved these fish in

My mistake just checked water with a tetra 6-1 test strip and nitrates are at 40ppm
