My tank is fully cycled now, but I accomplished this through dosing only with fish flakes. Currently I have 4 longfin zebra danios and the tank has maintained good parameters for about two weeks (0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, water change whenever nitrates get much over 5).
Since I didn't do the recommended cycle (I.e. Dosing ammonia up to 4 ppm repeatedly) I know that my BB are not established to full tank capacity. My question is, when I add more fish should I expect a mini cycle, and if so how long do you think it will last?
I will make sure to keep up with daily water changes and dosing with prime if the parameters show a mini cycle.
