Has anyone heard of potting moss balls in your tank to eat the Alge ?
Please see attached photo.

Thanks

Marimo moss balls don't eat algae, they ARE algae. I guess the idea is that you grow friendly algae to outcompete the nuisance algae.

Apart from that, I love marimos! They're so cute and awesome!

Just beware before you spend money on them, some fish will eat them.

Marimos are so awesome! But my red clawed crabs destroyed them:/ but they are awesome!
The balls really eat up a lot of nutrients that ugly algae need, so yea, they do help rid off algae

As others have stated, moss balls are a form of algae but they are not direct algae removers and in some cases they can be covered with unsightly algae

No, they don't eat that kind of algae, at least mine don't. And marimo balls aren't going to reduce the nutrient levels in the tank in any significant way, so if they do fight against other algae it's very minimal.
