Mysterious Matter Growing Tank! Help please...

Hi all, I have just noticed a small patch of something on my two week old freshwater tropical aquarium (yes, on the inside!). It's only a few millimetres across and looks like a little jellyfish or few cells... Could it be a mould or is it a type of algae? I've got some speckles of green algae starting to appear on the tank sides now too, but I was expecting that. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks (www.aquariumsetup.wordpress.com)

It could be a piece of food that went moldy. I see that sometimes when a tank is new.

Can't really see but it almost looks like a hard water deposit.

I saw someone else on here who also had those growing in his tank. I think they were either some kind of itty bitty snail or some one-celled animal thing. You could try searching for the thread?
