So, in maybe 3-4 mints I will be getting a 125 or 120 gallon tank, I wish for something unique, all my family had ever had is really a community tank, and we want something different
We want it planted
Either agressive or semi agressive
African cichlids
Or South American cichlids
What do you recommend?
Thanks!

Salt ;)

How about a mbuna aquarium? Fill it full of Texas holey rock and get some nice sand substrate and you'd have a great tank there.

The only problem with the African cichlids is that they don't mix with plants.

Man, I would love to go salt, but I'm not prepared to spend that money
So mbuna, I have considered that option, about how many would I be able to put?

You are supposed to do 2 inches of fish per gallon I think. That's to reduce aggression.

I would say 100 inches of fish as long as you have enough filtration. So you could do twenty 5" fish.

I'm leaning towards SA
Would I be able to get 2 Oscar sized fish, 5 that are a bit smaller, 2-3 large catfish, and maybe a sailfin pleco?
